Our trailer is a quality, Oregon-manufactured 6' x 12' CargoMate. Best of all, it has a foot of extra height—the rear opening is a full 6 feet high and inside height is even higher, 6'5" minimum.
The trailer with the tallest opening from the company best known for trailer rentals is only 4’10” high. Are you kidding? Let’s face it, there isn’t all that much cargo you can wedge in an opening that small. Nor does that trailer have a ramp door—ours does. Ours also has built-in stabilizer jacks at the rear corners for confident loading and unloading when the trailer is not hooked up to the tow vehicle.
These trailers are great for camping! So for you campers, there is a 32” locking man door, as they are called (like an RV door), at the front of the trailer. This means you don’t have to wrangle with the rear door every time you (or the kids) need to go in and out of the “RV”. Rear stabilizer jacks provide comfortable stability when the gang is stomping around inside. All but the tallest people can stand and walk fully upright inside.
If you have never towed a trailer there is no need to be intimidated by pulling a trailer of this size. The trailer is light (about 1500 pounds empty) and is easy to hook up and pull—we’ll help if you’ve never done either. There are some basics that are important to keep in mind when trailering but they’re straightforward and easy to learn.
